Gza Digital LLC announces a vacancy for the position of Digital Asset Settlement Manager.
About usWe're hiring on behalf of our partner — a company that powers the operations behind regulated and high-risk industries. They give fast-moving businesses in these spaces the structure, compliance and talent they need to scale — without slowing down. About the RoleCrypto never sleeps, and once something settles, it settles — there's no chargeback, no "undo," no calling the bank to reverse it. That's basically the whole job in one sentence: you make sure every deposit, withdrawal, trade settlement, OTC leg, staking payout, and institutional transfer goes out right, on time, every single time. We're talking about millions of dollars in client and corporate assets moving every year, where one wrong address or wrong network is permanent. So yeah, this is a serious role — but we're not looking for someone who's stiff or robotic about it. We want someone who's genuinely good under pressure, sharp with details, and treats "100% accuracy" as just... the normal standard, not some heroic achievement. You'll run settlement day-to-day, own how the whole thing is controlled, and be the person people come to when something's about to go sideways — right before it reaches the Deputy CFO. What You'll DoKeep Settlements Moving (and Correct)Own settlement end-to-end — crypto in/out, fiat payouts, stablecoin transfers, OTC trades, institutional funding, all of itMake sure everything lands on the right asset, right network, right memo/tag, right address — no exceptionsGet comfortable working across multiple chains (BTC, ETH, L2s, Solana, Tron, etc.) — gas fees, congestion, reorgs, all the fun stuffWork inside dual-control / four-eyes setups — approve what's yours to approve, escalate what's notPersonally handle the high-stakes, VIP, and institutional settlements — including proper callback checks before anything moves
Keep Everything ReconciledOwn daily reconciliation across on-chain balances, exchange ledgers, custodians, and bank accounts — unexplained gaps aren't really a thing you let slideMake sure client and company money never mix, and keep the paper trail to prove itChase down the weird stuff — stuck transactions, wrong-network deposits, dust, lost memos — until it's actually resolvedKeep a clean break log and root-cause tracker, and give Finance a clear weekly picture
Manage Wallets & LiquidityKeep hot/warm/cold wallets funded and balanced so settlements never get stuck waiting on liquidityTake part in signing operations (MPC / multi-sig / HSM) — quorum ceremonies, break-glass procedures, the worksLook ahead and flag liquidity shortfalls before they become actual problemsBe the go-to person for custodians, banks, PSPs, market makers, and liquidity providers when something needs sorting
Own the ControlsBuild and maintain the settlement control framework — whitelisting, limits, velocity checks, approval matrices, audit trailsRun pre-transaction screening (Travel Rule, sanctions, Chainalysis/Elliptic/TRM) and hold anything that looks offBe the person audits and regulators talk to when they want to understand how settlement actually worksKeep runbooks and disaster recovery plans current — and actually tested, not just filed awayMake sure no single person, including you, can move client funds solo
Handle the Bad Days WellStep up when things break — delayed withdrawals, banking outages, custodian downtime, chain halts, forks, anything sketchyLead the freeze/recall/recovery call alongside Compliance, Risk, Legal, Security, and SupportTurn every incident into a lesson — update the controls so it doesn't happen the same way twice
Build the Team & Make Things BetterLead and grow the settlement team across a 24/7 setup — clean handovers, clear escalationsPush for automation wherever it makes sense — fewer manual steps, better tooling, less room for human errorWork with Client Support on explaining settlement issues in plain language when clients need answersOwn the KPIs and be ready to explain them to leadership — and occasionally the Board Who You Are3–5+ years in settlement, payment ops, treasury, custody, or back-office roles in financial services — with at least a year leading a teamYou've actually done crypto settlement hands-on — exchange, custodian, OTC desk, market maker, prime broker, whatever the setting, it needs to be real experienceFluent in English and RussianYou genuinely get on-chain mechanics — addresses, memos, confirmations, fees, chains, token standards — and you know exactly what happens when one of them goes wrongYou've owned reconciliation at real volume, not just reviewed someone else's spreadsheetYou know your way around fiat rails too — SWIFT, SEPA, Fedwire/ACH, Faster Payments, plus stablecoin on/off-rampsYou've worked inside dual-control, audited environments, and you actually understand why those rules existYou've been through a real settlement crisis and lived to tell the storyYou've got sharp attention to detail, but also good judgment — you know what to quietly fix, what to escalate, and what's genuinely worth waking the CFO up for If you're the person your last team called when something needed to move right, fast, and with zero drama — apply now.
