Proxy Live Solutions is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant About the Role We are looking for a Senior Accountant based in Georgia to lead a team of accountants covering the full accounting function for International entities as well as other locations. The role owns review and quality control of the team's work, audit support and senior-level communication with group companies — and additionally owns the accounting for Georgian import & export operations as a separate workstream. Tax compliance for LV/MT remains with an external provider and not required for the role. The role will be reporting to country senior financial controller. Key Responsibilities Supervision & Review (core focus) Supervise and review the work of the AP & Banking Accountant and the GL & Reporting AccountantQuality control of postings; sign-off on month-end close and reconciliationsWorkload planning, coordination of deadlines, and training/onboarding of the teamEscalation point for complex postings, judgment areas and accounting policy questions Audit & Senior-Level Matters Preparation of information and replies for auditor requests (LV/RO/US)Cross-country meetings and tax alignment discussions with group companiesAd-hoc senior requests: residence certificates, intercompany transaction files, cash-flow files for financial statementsCoordination with the external provider on outsourced areas (tax compliance, payment execution) Georgian Import & Export Operations (separate workstream — new scope) Accounting for import and export transactions of the Georgian operations (goods, customs duties, freight, insurance)Preparation and control of import/export documentation: customs declarations, waybills, invoicesCoordination with customs brokers and the Georgian Revenue Service (RS.ge)VAT treatment of import/export transactions and coordination of Georgian tax filingsGEL/FX handling and monitoring of Georgian currency and customs regulations Collaboration & Communication Senior point of contact for group companies — support and communication (LV/EE/PL/RO/GE/US)Internal communication and IT-issue coordination for the accounting team Requirements Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, incl. 2+ years supervising or reviewing the work of other accountantsExperience working in international companies is required — ideally in a multi-entity, multi-currency group environmentKnowledge of Georgian accounting, tax and customs requirements for import/export operationsComfortable overseeing accounting for foreign entities under EU accounting frameworksExperience with an ERP system — Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong advantageStrong Excel skills (review files, reconciliations, cash-flow files)Fluent written and spoken English; Georgian required for local authorities and customs brokersExperience with the Georgian Revenue Service portal (RS.ge) and customs proceduresExperience supporting external audits and year-end financial statementsPrior experience taking over an accounting function from an outsourced provider and building a team Please send your CV to the following email address: ani.goliadze@proxylivesolutions.com
